Oh I'm so sorry you got taken like that! That is what is happeing to this one. It is not as twisted .... yet, but mine is younger. I paid ALOT for the BQ chick. Dont think I will deal with them again and they sell on here that how I found them. They had their BQ priced twice as much as their PQ. This is advertised on their website. You did answer my next question.... no breeding. Now I am down to only 3 others. I got paints also and I lost one of those within a day I brought it home. I told the breeder and nothing. Should at least gave me 1/2 back or something.. You are always so helpful.
Uh nooo.... this is not a Columbian. That color is AMAZING... and this is not it. LOL!! This is sort of a crazy looking partridge or something. Maybe SOS can identify this color. I'll go hunt down a Columbian for you to see, they are awesome!
Yep. That is what I thought they looked like. I wonder if it is a calico or partridge? When they sent me the picture I did not think that was a columbain so thought to run it by here first. This is not the best birds for the Columbian color-- but they are all white, have black hackles and black in their tails. I'll see if I can hunt up a better quality bird.

I definetly feel taken now, but lesson learned. Like you mention I am just going to leave it alone and maybe some folks can put two two together from my post and figure out who it is. It would not do any good for me to call them up and complain. I would get nowhere just like my dead chick that I had for only a day.Oh I'm so sorry you got taken like that! That is just bizarre that they would sell a chick as a BQ bird. Honestly, they change so much, that they will go back and forth on you until they hit about 6-8 months and you can start to really see what they are going to look like. Yeah, I'm sorry, I wouldn't breed your baby. There just is not sure fire way to know that it wouldn't be passed on. I just can't wrap my mind around someone who advertises CHICKS as BQ birds. Seems very unethical. And I agree, if you paid that kind of money, then they owe you a BQ bird if that is what you paid for it. Not that I'm saying go back and start a fight-- sometimes things are left well enough alone and just warning other people not to deal with them would be enough.
