here are my partridges...all beautiful but I need to make room...and I really want to hatch some splash and paints after the show..these are from when they were younger...they are almost 6 mths now...

I just love their grey beards!

Bearded chicks have a beard from hatch. if they are 7 weeks old and have no fuzz under their chins than they are Non Bearded

Oh fiddle sticks! They will have to go....

I just hope that both of my bearded whites are roos.

PEEPBLESSED when can I tell if my chicks will have NO hard feathers? At a couple of weeks of age or until matured?

I start seeing hard feathers at about 2 1/2 months.

I just sold one of the pullets I was thinking about keeping... I only have a few silkies now!


I'm going to have lots of space to buy more come Fall!!

He is stunning!!! How do you all keep your silkies so clean and pristine looking? I guess our GA clay just makes them a mess. They free range all day so they get into all my flower beds.

Sandy bedding seems to work here, and dry air.

Some bearded have a huge beard and some a small beard so that could be what you are seeing.
