Silkie thread!

Really! I love it I found it on google when I typed in silkies! Very nice!
Im glad you like it. You have to be careful using peoples artwork you find on the web though. Some people get very upset about it. I wouldnt want someone to use mine and have prints made or put the image on a coffee cups for sale etc. but dont mind you using it in this manner. There are a few more on my silkie things on my website at feathersprings.fischerworks.com this is my old site for my Mini horses :) Changing it over to Silkies again. You can check out the Gallery page there. Ignore the Mares and stallion buttons LOL! Just started putting up some silkie pics . I would appreciate anyone wanting to use images to ask first please... there will be more soon.

Your boy is pretty and I love his coloring! His feet look a little shy of feathering, or are they just wet? I love the pale buffs but the desired coloring is a richer, darker gold. Unfortunately, the darker the gold the more risk of what is called "smut" (blue or black feathers). With buffs it's always a balancing act.

With all this ridiculous rain here in NC, its impossible to keep those darn birds dry so yea his feet are wet. He actually has pretty decent feathering on his feet but it all gets muddled up in the muck they love to play in.

I agree girl on the top, my uneducated guess is roo on the bottom, looks like it has some streamers maybe???
Thanks for our help. I just looked closer at the black one and noticed it has the smallest amount of yellow at the base of the neck. Could a pullet have that or is it strictly a roo trait. I can't tell if it has some streamers starting or just more poof coming in. Thanks to T-Mobile wireless I have the worst connection, so I couldn't get online again until now.
