My blue splash lays a pretty light brown, it's actually just more than a light brown..will get a picture tomorrow.

I would love to see and compare the eggs

It was so interesting to find my Silky bantam's egg today. It was so small and white. All of my other hens lay large brown eggs. Robin is my first Silky Pullet. She is the sweetest little girl

Oh my goodness, I am so glad you posted a picture of your frizzle..I just got one..and isn't yours a partridge pictured here...the frizzle? Mine is a partridge. Now I have two pictures to post..one of my blue splashs' pretty egg, and one of my new frizzle baby. Now I have an idea how "she" will look someday!

is it 2 late in the year to get hatchery chicks and put them outside in decemberish or should i wait till marchish and oh yea does anyone have blrw, cuckoo silkies or lav silkies for sale????????? please????????

Now I have two pictures to post..one of my blue splashs' pretty egg, and one of my new frizzle baby. Now I have an idea how "she" will look someday!

My frizzle silkie is a male. He was completely blue as a chick, so I think that around his neck is just leakage. He could be considered a partridge, I just don't know Congrats on your new one! Can't wait to see him/her

Thanks Blessedchick! Phyllis is my favourite as well. I think she is one of my best silkies. And I'm like you - a sucker for partridge Oh and the fuzzy butts They belong to my partridge cochin hen.. Well not really 'belong' but she is fostering 7 silkie chicks.

Here are some more fuzzy butts, because I'm a sucker for them as well. Janet (mom) decided to molt while brooding, so ignore her unkempt appearance.

Everyone free ranging. I took down the pen. They had no grass left and that made me sad Thankfully Steve is staying out of Jagger's way, so there haven't been any issues yet.

Thank goodness it isn't really all that cold here yet. Just came up from the barn, and she's out sunbathing with her chicks
