I ordered three silkies that I think have all been female. Some people on here wanted an update. I mentioned in my first post about them that there was one who was especially weak and likely a product of over breeding. Weak genetics.
She had an issue with drinking water. I think she may have breathed in at the same time that she drank, because there was water in her lungs after she drank. I helped her with that constantly. The other two chicks are full of energy and fight for food, while she barely touched hers. It was like that since she first arrived in package.
I found her dead earlier tonight with no indications on how it happened. I think she just choked.
I think about how no one took me seriously here as a chicken owner. There was someone that’s respected here who questioned how my hen could possibly be alive for this long. I don’t know how it happened, but I just wish I could’ve done more. That’s my update.
