I am new to silkies, but from what I read this sounds odd. I was inspecting my 3-4 week old bearded silkies and saw something "poking" out of it's forehead. It has a comb, small, pointy, but there. This normal? These were eggs I hatched and paid some decent $$ for.
    Any info appreciated...

Those are what I call boo boo babies. It happens sometimes a lady I buy silkies from has those hatch out once in a while. She gives those away to a friend of hers who doesn't care if they have single combs or only 4 toes on one foot. So far I've not had any pop up in my silkies yet.
