Clean it out with pure saline wash. Mine came in a can and I put it in an eye dropper to flush the silkies eye. After I do that, I put some neosporin. Many people say it works better than the terramycin cream and its a lot cheaper.
So far, about the same. We have only been putting the ointment in there for a couple of days now. I am worried that it could be something else. I have one small hen that has a runny nose and sits isolated alot. I also have one that is sneezing. I read on one of these posts on here that all of these different symptoms (including runny eyes) could be CRD it think it was. I resperatory disease. Each chicken just has a different symptom. I hope and pray it is not. I am going today to get some antibiotic to put in their water. The best thing would be for it to only be an eye infection and not something worse.

If you were dealing with eyeworm, your silkie would be scratching her eye alot. If the ointment treatment isnt clearing the eye up, it's most likely a respiratory problem and could spread to the rest of your flock.
