Hello all

I was sold pure silkie chicks however I am starting to have my doubts about two of them. They all have dark skin and 5 toes but two look different to me

Are they hatchery silkies - generally they have very poor type. I think your birds are either hatchery stock OR mixed breed silkies. One has straight feathers not silkie feathers at all. Another is lacking feathered feet.

They actually are from a breeder
Very dissapointed in them. They were supposed to be pure show quality. Still love them but certainly not happy with

I'd be making a phone call for sure! Far from show quality, even culls from show birds wouldn't look like this. Sorry, for your frustration.

any idea's on the what the mix is ? I have been very suspect for a few weeks as I have been watching them grow.

Looking for a breeder that would ship to Canada. anyone have any suggestions ?

Likely mix with something clean legged, or just very poor quality breeding stock.
