Eleanor hatched the egg I put under her! Her pigeon eggs never hatched, cause they aren't fertile. It's too dark to see the chick tonight but I'll try to post pics tomorrow. It's the silkie/EE/silkie mix.

If you haven't seperated them yet see if you can get a pic of the together.
It seem that you can use pigeons to incubate chicken eggs after all.

Yeah I didn't touch the chick. Eleanor wasn't happy at all.
The mama of the chick is young. She just started laying maybe a month ago. The egg was probably her 4th or 5th egg.

I'm glad I put the egg under the pigeon. The rest of the eggs I tossed because a rotten egg exploded on them.

Was elenor upset that you were checking out the chick, or because the chick looks strange compared to what she expects

She was Just upset because she isn't very used to human touch. She always puffs up when I near her. The only way I knew the chick hatched is because the eggshell was by her food bowl. I have no idea what the chick looks like because it was dark
