Yes, if those chicks are from my eggs the all the smooth feathered cochin carry the silkied gene. There are only silkied roos and silkied hens & smooth hens split to silkied. So all chicks from those either will be silkied or carry the silkie gene. Silkied to Silkied = Silkied. Mate the roo to some to the smooth hens and you will get about 50% silkied chicks. Your roo is also has double barring gene by his looks, so he should produce mostly barred chicks.

ETA - I saw your post on the cochin thread that he came from Sand Hill - so if he did not come from my eggs then, then I would mate him to the others you have and see if you have any come out silkied, if not those chicks WILL be split to silkied, breed them back to dad and get about 50% silkied cochins.
