Silkies, 10 wks old. What Sex?

I thought I had Houdan sexing down, then I had another batch grow up.
Turns out I knew only about half the story.

I bet next batch I'll know even less, but somehow more.

The farm we went to also had silkies and I agree with the visible wattles being a tell tale sign, although you cant tell the color yet. Seeing them turn red early helps so much.
Just seeing them may be an overactive pullet. The real tell depends on breed, breeder, and the genetic lottery.

Feel the spacing between the pubic bones. Girls will have more space, and they will be somewhat flexible. Boys will be tight and close together--no need to push out an egg.
