Silkies and heat?

I've read all kinds of things, but am wondering from those who have them- are they heat tolerant at all? I live in the desert SW, and would love to have one!

Actually there are several breeders in the SW. Sonoran is one of them. She can give you all the tips and tricks she uses to keep her flock as comfortable as possible. The advantage that you have is the low humidity.
