So I just found out that the American Silkie Bantum Association's Nationals event is running at the same time as a polish show. How cool is that? All my favorite freaky chickens in one place at one time.
Both are happening in Lawrenceburg, TN which isn't all that far from my house. AND I have off work that weekend so I can go play. I am so dang excited I can't stand it!
This is how weird you all have made me.

Not fair. Not fair. Not fair. Not fair.

They never have cool events like that in my area. Should we take bets on whether or not you'll leave empty handed?

Oh, I think we can safely say I'm so not coming home empty handed.

Actually, I'm hoping to bring home some buff silkie babies from a guy from Knoxville. He's waiting to see what hatches and then trying to decide if he wants to sell them or not. I have all my fingers and toes crossed. These babies are from his GORGEOUS show birds. It's all I can do to not pester him to death. "Do you have babies? What about now? Now? Can I have some? What about now?". It's like I'm 5.

After my abysmal hatch with Jenlynn's eggs (which was totally my fault and that of the stupid incubator!) I am dying for some sweet buff silkies to cuddle.

You can come play too Debiraymond! We can all go and run amok with the silkie and polish people. How fun would that be?!

The show is in Lawrenceburg, TN on November 14th. There is more info on the American Silkie Bantum Association's website. If you are interested I can PM you when I get more info.

I am sooooooo excited!!

citygirl...definatly let me know what you find out. Last time I checked their website i didnt find out anything that actually helped me. I have never been to a show before....I need a silkie. A chicken hawk carried off my most favoritist little pullet. She was sooo sweet, she followed me around like a dog!

I have a 3 hour drive too but knowing that Polish will be there too. Ohh I am doing the drive. I wonder if I can pick up a botton quail or two along my drive to Tenn... I will not be leaving empty handed... Counting the days
