I know you cant tell the sex at 8 weeks, but I'm more concern on how small my chicks still are. They eat and have lots of energy. I also think the black is a roo just because of its comb growth. Is there any advice anyone can give me? There is only 3 chicks.

Yes, all of my chickens are bantams. It's just when I was doing research silkies were much fluffier and bigger at this age.
There is quite a variation in size and fluffiness in silkies. Depends if you have hatchery birds or breeder birds usually. Breeders tend to focus on fluffy appearance and breeding to the standard. Hatcheries focus on producing a lot of birds and do not care so much about quality, though you can find quality birds sometimes that way.😊

These are breeder birds. I got these chicks from the same person I got my chocolate pullet from. I dont think I would get hatchery silkies, just because I'm all about the fluff.
