Silkies eye looks weird

I noticed my new silkies eye looked odd today. Looks like the eyelid is half way shut and sort of white down the center like a cats eye. Somebody help. I'll try to add a pichttp://www.backyardchickens.com/g/i/5453274/default/sort/display_order/

That sounds strange. Is there anything in the eye like grit or dust? It could be a film growing over the eye - I have seen that in animals before.

Every time I try to check she closes her eye.

is it a solid smokey white on the eyeball itself, or is it sort of foamy like made of tiny bubbles excreting from the eye?

if its foamy and bubbly, its most likely an infection that will need to be treated by antibiotics.

No bubbles. It kind of looks like the eyelid is half way open and white scar tissue is holding it open. I can't find anything online that looks similar
