I understand that. There seems to be more debate about the color calico, however, as some unscrupulous sellers (not pointing a finger at you) are using 'calico' to sell miscolored offspring.

I ordered 8 silkies from Ideal, assorted colours. They are only 3 weeks old now but here is my opinion on them so far. They all have black skin, they all have 5 toes. Most of them so far have lots of feet feathers. The two gray ones both have vaulted skulls, the rest do not. I don't know what they will look like fully grown so I can't comment on the amount of fluff. My only disappointment so far is that they said you may receive bearded and non bearded and that kind of made me think it would 50/50 but only one out of the 8 is bearded (a blue one).

I got 8 from ideal. A bunch of buff ones. You can tell they are silkies, and make great pets, but they weren't show type. Black skin, 5 toes, fluffy bodies, feathered legs, but some where lighter than others, and had feathers of off color and so on. But none of that show stuff is important to me.

Here's my girl from them, the boy in the back wasn't from ideal. I don't think she looks that bad.

I got some blues last year from Ideal and even tho I'm down to a pair for breeding this is a few pictures of what they produced! I love them and I'm very happy with them, and the female is a great broody hen and mother too.
