Silkies Of A Different Color

I just got her yesterday and was told she's a calico, it that correct? Sry for the bad pictures!

Calico seems to be a blanket term to describe anything that isn't a solid silkie color. or cuckoo.
what it looks like to me is a columbian silkie with a moor head (all black crest) that silkies can some times get, pretty bird thanks for posting!
and if you get sick of her feel free to send her to Michigan!!! i've got a spot for her in my coop, lol

Thanks for the reply! Will it turns out "she" is really a he!! This morning he was crowing also was told by another breeder that he is a silver partridge. I'm really hoping he stays a quiet rooster or I'm going to re-home him he is so friendly!!!!

Are any of you selling chicks? I see all of these beautifully colored silkies and yet I am having trouble finding any silkies other than a few that are either white or black. Where do you all keep getting all of these birds and do any of you have any for sale/ ship? Thanks, I have been looking for awhile, but to no avail.

I ordered and hatched eggs to get different colors (Lavender, Porcelain). Bred some accidental blue partridges (which I love). _Pam

Sorry they turn diff colors when born that color at my place, usally with some spots...
However that dont look 100% silkie...maybe crossed with cochin.
Thats what my crosses always look like...
