That's great news!! Now please let it be a pullet!!!!

I know this is a Silkie thread, but since Sizzles are bred to the Silkie standard, I hope someone here can help me with colors. I plan on showing them if I can figure out their color.
Is this a lemon blue or ......

Another pullet - is this a proper porcelain?

2 smooth Sizzle cockerels.
Porcelain?

Think I can get by with calling this guy a calico splash?

Now here are a couple of Silkies. I think they're porcelain but do you think they'll be DQ'd for being too dark? The first 2 are of the same pullet but colors look a little different so posted both.

Not sure if the judges will go along with this as a porcelain or not. If not, what would she be? Mutt?

This is what is happening with some of my buffs - white undercoat. Is this a DQ?

Thanks for any help. You are all the greatest!

I have some chicks that hatched from lavender frizzle silkies but I know nothing about color or feathering. Can anyone help guess what they might end up being?

Since I'm doing Sizzles, I'll take a stab at it. Sizzles - both smooth & curly, & frizzled Silkies are very closely related & you can get all three types in a Sizzle hatch & even some that look like regular Silkies but carry the frizzle gene. So...picture 1 looks like it is probably a frizzled Silkie, #2 is a definite curled Sizzle & #3 is a smooth Sizzle. 1 & 3 will likely be blues but #2 looks like there is some pencilling coming in so you might have an exciting new color. Very cute chicks! I love the curled Sizzles - they look like a dahlia with a beak!

I love number two! My husband named her fluffy and from day 1 she was fascinated with me from inside her window in the incubator. I would like to get a male to breed the hens i got from this hatch but not sure what color I should use. Any suggestions? Before your reply I was completely lost and thought maybe a white male silkie would be good since I know if you breed frizzle genetics to frizzle you get balding and I don't want that.

I am going to try and answer. I know the experts will step in and correct me, but it may take a little while before they see this.

Is this a lemon blue or ...... Not sure looks a little too dark - OK I went to Feathersite and looked at a few breeds with lemon blue and I revise my

comment to yes I think so. Here are a couple of shots from their site:

Another pullet - is this a proper porcelain? I will say yes - but they are calling porcelain self blue cream and it isn't a recognized color in silkies - shown in AOV

2 smooth Sizzle cockerels.
Porcelain? On my laptop this looks a little too red

Think I can get by with calling this guy a calico splash? Not sure but I think just calico, but again an AOV color

Gorgeous! No, I don't think she is too dark. Project colors are all AOV until accepted, but they are working very hard to get the self blue cream (porcelain) in like they did with the self blue (lavenders), So keep good records on showing these.

Not sure if the judges will go along with this as a porcelain or not. If not, what would she be? Mutt? Is this a male? Looks like a lot of red again, but it may be my computer. The males are usually darker than the girls, but I really like this coloring a lot.

This is what is happening with some of my buffs - white undercoat. Is this a DQ? OK I don't know if this would be a DQ or not but this is a snippet of the SOP:
NON-BEARDED AND BEARDED BUFF SILKIE BANTAMS Color – Male and Female PLUMAGE: Surface throughout – an even shade of rich golden buff.

Thanks for any help. You are all the greatest!

Not sure on the colors but they are beautiful!! I wish I had more sizzles. :(. I have one black rooster that is the cute curly feathered and one khaki colored rooster that is silkie feathered. No girls for them. I would love to get some but they are sort of hard to get. Again very beautiful!!
