What does a single comb mean?

Silkies are meant to have a walnut comb, a single comb is what you would see on other breeds of chickens.
On a silkie it just makes the bird a pet quality silkie.

Thank-you. For now a pet quality silkie will do. If I really enjoy the breed then I may look for a better quality pair at some point. For now this will do.
