Silkies started laying

Hi guys new to silkies one of 3 of my hens have started laying she is laying 1 day missing a day. She has a total of 3 eggs so far when will she clock them? How many do they lay before sitting on the eggs. Are silkies good clockers i heard they are? Thankyou

If she just started laying, wait 1 month before trying to get chicks. You will also need a roster. No set number of eggs to hatch. I think that's what you were trying to ask.
And what do you mean by clock?

Do you mean sit on them to hatch? There is no set time or number of eggs. It is controlled by hormones. Some will go broody after laying 7 eggs. Some never will. Silkies are more likely to go broody then most other breeds. You can keep picking the eggs and still have a hen go broody. Not uncommon for my Silkies to be sitting on empty nests. Once the hen is going sitting day and night give her eggs to hatch. It is best to choose eggs that are not from a new layer
