☹️ Unfortunately more blood kept coming out and yellow yoke, vent still wouldn't go back in... Possible she had egg shell inside her cutting up insides 😢 So I put her out of suffering.
So sorry for your loss! Poor Skitty 😢😢 We lost one of our splash Marans to really bad prolapse back in January. It’s such a hard thing to help them with it sounds like you did the best thing you could for her. Hugs :hugs

Oh I am so very sorry! I'm sure you did all you could and what was best for her. It is so hard seeing one suffer.
:hugs

It's one after another! 😩
Huggie hasn't started laying yet though her 2 hatch mates started months ago and through winter - Skitty was one from the same hatch.
Possible crop problem maybe if she's been eating too much wood shavings? I see her eat often normal food though. Her crop feels very full, not hard. I haven't dealt with crop issues before so not quite sure of the problem. She jerks her neck often like trying to wiggle something free. Her wings a droopy low and she stumbles sometimes, not very active and doesn't venture far from the coop. I have given her a haircut but that didn't make a difference in behaviour.

Any ideas or should I try post a question for more help?
Thanks!

I'm so sorry about Skitty, it sounds like you made the best choice for her with how bad the prolapse was. 😢:hugs

I hope you get some good advice for Huggie in the emergency section. With a large but not impacted feeling crop I'd suspect possible sour crop (a yeast infection in their crop). That will cause the crop to balloon and often the contents feels squishy or liquid like. If it is sour crop you may be able to smell some sourness in her breath.

Sometimes they get pendulous crops for other reasons. For a pendulous crop something called a "crop bra" might help keep it in check. Searching "chicken crop bra" in a search engine should show you how the crop bras look/work to help with pendulous crops.

I had a little one who got sour crop and I tried a couple methods to treat but the one that ended up working was using miconazole suppositories that are sold as treatment for yeast infections in women. Miconazole products often come in creams as well but the creams have some ingredients that may not be safe for chickens so I'd stick with the suppositories. I think treatment was something like 1/3rd a suppository 2 times a day for a week. I also got her a crop bra while treating because her crop was getting so large. After the yeast infection was gone it took a while for her crop to get back to a more normal size but it eventually did.

The fact she is seeming kind of lethargic might be due to something else. Whenever I have one that acts lethargic I jump to possible coccidiosis first since that is one of the most common things that can get them feeling poorly and lethargic. Treating for coccidiosis probably won't hurt and if it ends up she does have it will hopefully help. Mite/lice infestations and an overload of worms can cause lethargy too. I'm sure there are other things that could do it but in your situation I'd probably go ahead and treat for sour crop along with treating for coccidiosis and see if she doesn't start perking up in a few days. If she is still looking bad after a couple days of treatments I might try de-worming her. I like using valbazen for de-worming but I've heard something like safeguard is good too if you've got access to it there.

Unfortunately with lethargy unless you have a good vet who can help diagnose treatment is just kind of guessing and hoping something you try helps. I'm hoping you might get some better advice in a thread though. I've had several silkies that started acting weak/off who seemed to get better with a treatment for coccidiosis. I've also had a few who didn't pull through and I'll never know if I just didn't get to them in time or if they had something else going on.

Good luck, I hope things work out for little Huggie and she is able to make a full recovery! :fl

@LadiesAndJane Are you able to tell the genders of my birds?
Sorry for the delay in response, I’m on and off the site randomly these days. Have to agree with @LynnaePB that their appearance can change within a matter of weeks from looking quite feminine to looking obviously male. I’ve had several that have done this to me! 🤣
Even recently sold a bird to a customer as a female and had to buy “her” back a few weeks later when it was obviously a boy.
Agree that even at 12 weeks it can be difficult to tell but around 15 weeks it becomes more obvious.
It can be a bit easier to tell with the Satins, which you have many beautiful examples of, as their saddle feathers will start to come in at around 12 to 13 weeks. These are difficult to see in the silkied feathered birds.
Out of the photos you have posted I really do not see any obvious boys yet.
Well bred, breeder quality, super fluffy bearded birds are slow to mature.😊

Kumori went from this at 12 weeks:
