Yesterday I caught a 25 week old cockerel trying to feed the new chicks. It was absolutely adorable.
I had to pull Cheif out of the pen with the young silkie pullet as he had no clue how to be nice.. He's a silkie mix of outstanding color ( :-( )... I put Top Gun in (same age, pure silkie) and he immediately started caring for the girls.. Even caught them roosting next
to him the same evening..
Can anyone see the head popping out here?

Just when I thought bout moving the critter cam wouldn't ya know I noticed my mint and hosta dug up as well as the cardboard around the backside of it that butts up to the run.
So got to thinking I would see if by chance the critter cam actually caught something besides a spider...
Look like a coon to yall?

Yeah that’s gotta be a raccoon! Little poop!!

Wouldn't it have tried harder to get in the run since my crazy silkie 3 month olds were right there at that corner where coon tried kept going up to it? It dug up stuff but that's all I could tell.
Maybe hasn’t come across chickens before so it doesn’t know the value! Could be younger 🥴
