Here are some updates on the silkies
All my silkies a a work in process, I’m not the proudest of them but here they are.

Chicks are from sultan and possible frizzle x white Silkie. They are all recessive white

Those babies are so cute!
I thought about getting some showgirls but I read on this thread that they could have issues. is that true? Do they have more problems than silkies(or any other chicken)?

I never had any issues with my showgirls.
I'm hopefully going to be getting some again next month, miss having them.

agree with Hinotori, never herd of them having issues. I also have had no problems with crested birds. They are able to eat and drink just fine, my seem to even be more dominate than the non crested birds.

Okay. I'm convinced whoever wrote that was just wrong. I think I will try to hatch some in the spring! I thought the first one I seen was awesome and wanted to buy her but I just didn't know enough about them

Update on the baby I thought was a Silkie, then decided it was a bantam Brahma…HE is a Satin/Brahma and a very calm and gentle boy
