Don't worry, I've also thought of that, or even just print out an already existing one!

I guess it's better than nothing and you could feel a bit better knowing you've given them information, as for if they follow it is their decision.

Ultimately if I believe someone literally hasn't got a clue at all, I wouldn't let them take them. I'd tell them to research and then if still interested, to come back.
Glad I’m not the only one!

This guy is actually filling out nicely. :hugs

Chickie Time!
:jumpy

Since you guys like chick pics, here's the current ones I have in the brooder!

The most recent ones that hatched, some have quite nice foot feathering:

The oldest chick in the brooder which I posted a few weeks back. I have an inkling it's a male but we will see:

One of the middle aged chicks in the brooder, looks very fluffy:

Three of the pet quality chicks which I'm selling off cheap...but no one wants the poor babies :hit well somone did but they wanted them on Christmas Eve to put straight in a coop with no heat lamp for their child as a Christmas present...I won't let them go knowing they'll not survive. They're far to young to go without a lamp, even if they are kept indoors they still need a supplemental heat source, 'room temperature' isn't warm enough.
Two are middle aged chicks and one is from the newest hatch:

Pretty little baby peeps you got there.

I like the idea of a care pamphlet. Seems like it would be helpful to those new to raising chicks. I may have to think about writing one up myself, I'm always worrying about people knowing how to care for the chicks properly. I'd probably want to add some things about silkie care specifically as well.

I always mention in my adds that the babies need heat and I have a 2 chick minimum so I won't sell any lonely babies. I'll try to do my best to make sure potential new owners are willing to provide proper care, if that means holding onto the babies until after Christmas I'll do that. :)
