Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Guess who's broody just hatched 8 chicks today! (5 partridge and 3 pure white)

They'll be joining my 8 other pure whites in the brooder on Monday.

Why not let the mom raise them ?

I haven't got the correct set up to be able to do so unfortunately, at least not whilst they are so small.

The way my nest boxes are set out if the chicks get out they can't get back in which is a pain and I'm not there all the time to check them because of work.

I personally prefer to use my incubator to hatch my eggs but since the showing season has finished for me, I'm letting two of my hens sit eggs
