Aw, poor Kana and you. I hope we both have good Spring hatches!So candled the eggs under my young broody and all appear to be infertile or just not doing anything. Tossed the eggs and hopefully Kana will get over it quickly. No problem, back to original plan of Spring hatches!![]()

Interesting. Are silkies known for that??So half of my silkie roosters don't grow spurs. The ones that do, they grow in a spiral but fairly slow.
This is Leven who is half silkie half ameraucana so his spurs grow fairly quick. I used to trim them because they were growing towards his legs. Both have twisted some and are passing behind his legs now. So I'm keeping an eye on them instead of cutting now.
It's just the weirdest thing on spurs. He has 6 toes on this foot so ignore any weirdness there. That's how he got his name. Eleven toes, shortened to Leven.
