Here's pic of Nugget with her 3 chicks... She is a terrible mum and I won't be allowing her mother again. She leaves her chicks cheeping so loud and hardly makes a sound, never clucks at the chicks to show where she is and started roosting where chicks can't get too! She already trampled one hatching, lucky the others are alive still. If I haven't intervened multiple times the chicks would be dead... better go check on them, again..

You mean me raise the chicks? No, I don't have a brooder since I have Silkies I thought they'd take that job... I have had 3 broody and thought of sticking chicks under them but thought chicks have already seen mother hen so would go back to her instead of staying with new mummy.
