Well, just my luck. This new little fella has splayed legs. I've put a leg hobble on him. Now it's time to pray.... :fl
☹️

give him sesame seeds. I fixed many leg issues with it. but hurry up, they should been given as soon as possible. they work for the first 2-3 days of the chick's life.

He was just born today so if I give them to him in the morning, it should still be in the window

Hey have yall ever heard of a silkie chick trying to crow at just 4 weeks old?!?
I swear Joey was trying to this morning as he stood a top the roost bar above their brooder heat plate!

Yes! That’s possible. Such cute tiny crows🥰

Here's the little anklepecker this morning. He wiggled out of the hobble last night so I changed it out for a pipe cleaner. The pipe cleaner has slid up over his hocks but it is still keeping his legs in and he was hobbling around a bit....

But I tell ya.... Part zebra. 😂

He's adorable. I think I'd rather have one crow at 4 weeks versus 6 months old.

True...I pegged the first chicks I had as to lil cockrels and was right...I had already thought this one was as well.
Hoping the others I really like are pullets!
