Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Well eggs are sent in the mail and of course would be by air. It’s not impossible
I have had eggs shipped here many times with mixed results on their hatch rates though! You have to be NPIP certified to send eggs or chicks out of state.

As far as dogs, there’s a lot of paperwork involved in bringing them into Hawaii even if you’re just traveling with them. Though people do this all the time.😊

I have been doing a lot of research on breeding satins. It is really not difficult, just takes time! You take your smooth feathered bird that has all the other silkie qualities, making sure they have proper feet and toe feathering is important. Black skin and correct comb is also important.
You breed this bird back to a really good quality silkie. 50% of the chicks will be smooth feathered and 50% will be silkie feathered.
You repeat this again and again, choosing the best smooth feathered offspring and breeding back to a silkie. 😊
