Are you planning on breeding your Silkies? If so I would get Blue and Splash, that way you will get more color variety in the chicks. A well-bred Blue Silkie is gorgeous.

Best they do not get too wet. They get chilled easily due to their feather structure. Wet in itself is OK, it is wet and being in the wind that can be a problem. I keep my birds in covered runs, they stay very clean, even the white ones!
