Yes me too!!I want one!!
Well these two are second generation polish/silkie crosses. (75% silkie, 25% polish). Need to get to the second generation to get the silkied feathers! So far they look more like Silkies than Polish not sure how you would maintain the Polish appearance and keep the silkied feathers.Yes me too!!There is so many chickens I want to make silkied! But right now I am just trying to make sizzles. Maybe soon I will work on polishes.

Aww they're so cute!Well these two are second generation polish/silkie crosses. (75% silkie, 25% polish). Need to get to the second generation to get the silkied feathers! Perhaps breeding two of these crosses together? If you breed back to a Polish you will lose the silkied feathers.
We’ll see what they look like when they feather in completely!
Breeds like silkied Cochins and silkied Seramas actually do not have any Silkie in them generally speaking. The silkied feathers is a mutation in these cases.

One thing I notice a lot with the silkied cochins and silkied seramas is having the silkie feathers almost make them look scraggly. Especially the cochins, they lose their poof. I hope mine aren't like that. It doesn't really matter if they are but all my birds have always been so fluffy!Aww they're so cute!If you just kept breeding silkie x polish to silkie x polish and then eventually introduced polish back in and then breed a silkie x polish to it I wonder if that would work.
I seem to have lost my obsession over silkied cochins but I may still get some. Right now I am trying to get normal bantam cochins and modern game bantams.
I did see a serama at the show I took my silkies too that was listed as silkied serama but it didn't really look silkied.
I have seen some silkied Seramas that are just stunning!Aww they're so cute!If you just kept breeding silkie x polish to silkie x polish and then eventually introduced polish back in and then breed a silkie x polish to it I wonder if that would work.

We're trying to make silkies smooth and polish's silkied!I have seen some silkied Seramas that are just stunning!
I was obsessing over the silkied Cochins as well. But I need to stop myself from getting more birds!
Luckily nobody here has any, so I would have to get shipped eggs from the mainland which is a real pain in the you know what!
Every time you breed back to a smooth feathered bird that does not carry the gene for silkied feathers, then all the babies will be smooth feathered.
I kept these two mostly to see what they will look like as adults.
Working on a satin project with their smooth feathered sister. Will keep breeding the Satins back to Silkies to maintain the smooth feathers with the other silkie features.
This along with the paint silkies, there’s more than enough projects!
I seriously need a grow out pen!![]()
