Sorry! Must of been the angle of that one photo.😊
Weird question...but out of the 5 that hatched from Alabama 4 are satin and 1 silkie...then I have 3 silkies of my own chickens that hatched at same time with them.
All of the satins hang together and the silkies hang together...silkies being VERY timid and shy whereas the satins are in ya face lol.
Is that normal for them to stick to "their own"? So to speak?

Not necessarily, normally chicks brooded together will hang out together.😊
I had a very big Marans that I raised together with some of my Silkies and she was an honorary Silkie member. She preferred to sleep with them and hang out with them over the other standard birds.

My big girl cochin, Elsa, seems to be a bossy loner. I'm hoping the silkie cochin (which is actually from a silkie satin sizzle clutch) will click with Elsa. I'm noticing between the silkies and polish, this little one is zooming around and trying to fly.. solo. My first silkies paired off, and so did my d'uccles.. so here's hoping!
