Just got caught up on nearly weeks worth of posts...idk why it does that sometimes.
I'm trying reallllllly hard NOT to worry but my neighbor came over to the fence yesterday as I was moving the babies from the run working on integration with older silkies and she asked lots of specific questions bout the chickens (how many, male or female, am I keeping em, etc.). Ive talked to her bout the chickens before and she always seemed so nice and unconcerned. I'm from the country and we've only been in the city a few years so specific rules are just unheard of for me with regard to what we can or cannot do on our own property. Yes I know foolish and naive on my part - as usual I'm living n learning the hard way. So I'm praying this doesn't become an issue...but if it does God will help me figure out what/how to deal with it.
Meanwhile here are some updated pics of the babies...not so babies anymore! I'm amazed at how large Joey is!

They are all beautiful!😍

Wow really! :eek:4 weeks is a long time, amazing recovery!
Burtle is eating and drinking well on his own but today he has droopy head, maybe he's getting worse 😢 hopefully improvement tomorrow on the vitamins or I might have to put him down. Did your little one improve after a few days or got worse then improved?
It looked a little worse before it got better. Id say around 2 weeks i noticed an improvement.. like wobbly head for a few seconds, then it would stop. It would have to wait for the wobble to stop to eat or drink. Then it would run around, stop, and wobbly head again. But its totally gone now!

I'd just be cautious of the motivation as well. You could always add the caveat of.. im waiting to see which will be prettiest before i rehome the others.... then if she asks for one, you know she's safe!

Aww they are gorgeous! ❤️

That red coming through would probably be called leakage yes but it can certainly look very pretty. There are a few people doing projects to actually take those silver based birds like your cuties and increase the amount of red. The most common name for this in these silver partridge/gray type birds is tortoiseshell when the red is added too. 😊

Good luck with the neighbors, I hope there won't be any problems! :fl

Ah ok...guess we'll see how he turns out!
What bout the white one...you think he may grow-out similar to the one from Hawaii? I've never seen a more gorgeous roo!
Yeah me too!

Hmm I think the pretty boy from Hawaii looks like he might be a splash. Your cutie looks closer to Columbian gray or silver partridge with the addition of Columbian or a Columbian like restrictor. I've seen Columbian gray get mistaken for splash pretty often so while he won't be exactly like that rooster he will look somewhat similar. I'm sure he'll be gorgeous too! 🥰
