*edit* i know you're not in the u.s., but can you see if you have a feed or farm store that carries something similar? It's used on many animals.

Wish I had that stuff!! ...Mysterychicken suggested blue food dye so I'll do that

As you know, I've publicly had a dislike for my Siklies. I still think they are...

But...
I'll go ahead and publicly admit, I like my Siklies now. It only took a few months, but they've grown on me a ton this last week. They are hilarious when they jump and run. I mean, is that really chest bumping their doing or is it more like an "AHHH, You scared me!" kind of jump? No other bird here is that silly, and it makes them hard to not like.

I agree to cracking up watching them jump and run. We have a long narrow run which makes it perfect to watch them. It looks like something startles them, they jump, put their head down and take off like a jet. It so funny! I should try and catch it on video! This is my mom getting all of her chicks with her on the roost!

Mine have sometimes had a funky toe.. i think its just a fluke.

Fred and Barney update pics!!

No denying Fred, he is so tall and vibrant, with his super spike hairdo.. funny he usually hides in the brooder, giant chicken little!! And one butt pic.. because look at those pretty saddle feathers!! I really hope he is backyard compliant and i can keep him




And here is Barney.. he is just growing so nicely. He has some streamers starting, but so far hes so sweet and easy to handle.



Here is Pebbles and Fred hanging by the waterer.. Pebbles is finally getting some more crest feathers coming in to even out her do!



I keep thinking I'm done w pics, then more come out of the brooder!!

Here is Bambina (since shes a she) with Wilma and Barney at the waterer. She doesn't need a step anymore!! Still teenie, but she can hop-fly effectively to reach everything she needs.


Anddd you can see the imaginary border where the two groups don't cross!! Well except Esmeralda, who spends half her time in the brooder she's too massive for Betty is in the corner with Wilma.

I love your birds!!! They are absolutely gorgeous! I think I have Barney's brother. I have a silkie named Snow and they pretty much look identical!
