Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Ya'll aren't going to believe this but yesterday, my neighbor was over and I was showing her some of my silkies. (We both love our silkies.) And she really likes my white hen snow. Well, Snow had been in the coop a while and she was and has been to me pretending to go broody. I don't want her going broody yet so I just picked her up and handed her to my neighbor to hold. And while she was holding Snow, Snow laid an EGG!!! It rolled out and hit the ground, it surprisingly didn't break! I just couldn't believe it!

That's carazy!

They are here!
I've never seen such tiny, flittery lil babies before in my life! Opened the box and literally blinked and one jumped/flew out! Barely 24 hours old! They are hopping and jumping everywhere so I had to move them on to the larger brooder for their own safety! I normally keep newly hatched babies (silkies and satins) in an open brooder on kitchen counter!
These lils weren't having it!!!

SOOO cute!!! Yours are so much fluffier than mine were! They are adorable and so tiny!

Do any silkie experts know what age I can tell if my silkie chicks are bearded or not?

Yeah I can tell by day 1 as well.

The little bearded and partially bearded babies will hatch with those adorable fluffy cheeks. The non bearded have much shorter down on the cheeks.

I hope for my sake they slow down! They are begging for luvin!!! Climb up in my hand and if I don't open the brooder (lack of time) then they try to jump up!!!
I'm so thankful the one that jumped out of the shipping box is seemingly just fine! Still in shock as I saw it laying there! I guess it just stunned it.
