Wow what a poof on that last one!!My poor fluffies are dust bathing in the coop wet sand/dirt. Winter is horrible. The wetness just keeps coming up through the dirt and I keep adding sand bit it is still wet

Yeah I turned on the misters today as it was 102…but now the area is all muddy. Ugh!Send some of that rain to Tennessee...we r in a drought! I actually have been hosing down my run for the babies cuz they are just pitiful.
But I'm sure it is frustrating to be constantly wet...they don't like that either!
Mud is better then being too hot I thinkYeah I turned on the misters today as it was 102…but now the area is all muddy. Ugh!

Yeah! It definitely dries out rapidly! We are over 100 for the next week so I figure it’s better to be muddy and cool at this point! I just wish the soil wasn’t clayey! It’s super slipperyMud is better then being too hot I thinkat least it should quickly dry out in those temps

Wow really!? Maybe it's good for them in wet dirt to help cool themselves in summer tempsall of my chickens love wet dust bath, lol. they never miss a chance to do it after rain. these days I spill water in their run and litterary a minute later all of them (5 silkies and 5 leghorns) become muddy piggies.
