Let me correct this!

And???....that's what we love about them!

They are just as easy as my other hens

Through bouts of illness in my flock, my silkies have always been the healthiest!

Mine are very smart and sneaky

Well mine live in a run so they'll never have to worry

These are my three Littles that are now nine days old. What a difference a week makes in trying to get photos! Two days of age they pretty much just stay where you put them, not anymore! It’s like trying to herd cats. I was trying to get them to line up nicely for me, but they weren’t cooperating!
These are my photo shoot attempts, I think I took probably 30 or 40 photos and these are the only ones that came out halfway decent.
We decided to hang onto these Littles for a while and let them grow up a bit before selling them. Curious to see how they’ll turn out, they all look great here at this age anyway. I think they are full sibs to Kai and Kumori. I technically don’t have room for more chickens, but hey these chicks don’t take up that much space yet and my daughter is really enjoying them.

Wow! They look like day olds....just bigger!!! I've never seen 9 day old silkies but this is very very cute!!

I'm hatching some silkie and silkie mixes!!! I am also buying some blue silkies to put with them when these my silkie and silkie mix eggs hatch

As always....GAUgeous!!! I'd keep em a while too! I'm trying to do this more now so I can also learn their little personalities better since I want to focus on pet and not so much in breeding...but if I get that "match" and it's not too much for  me and the  girls then we'll see LOL!

@LynnaePB how's your babies doin!? We need some more pics of that new Mister!!! Are you changing anything with your flock since TN has the dreaded avian flu now?

1 is polish mom and silkie dad, and 4 are silkie/EE mom and silkie dad. The barred one and columbian buff one are silkie/EE

Yes, Silkies feather in slower than other breeds, so they look younger. Only their wing feathers are coming in and some on their toes at this age. Though they are probably almost twice as big as a newly hatched chick at this point.

I love that! I cherish that chick down stage!!

Silkie mixes get the weirdest feet. This 3/4 chick has strange rear toes. Lobster claw on the right foot and an odd fused double toe on the left foot.
