So cute😍

I can't really tell from the pictures but it looks a bit like one I hatched this spring! Mine turned out to be a gorgeous blue silver partridge❤️

Here's a few pictures of mine as a baby and now!View attachment 3915968View attachment 3915969View attachment 3915970View attachment 3915971View attachment 3915972
Very pretty! I have an inkling it may wind up being a slightly chocolate partridge. I just thought all silkie partridges had to start out with the stripe on the back, but I guess not! That mottled head both of ours had/have must also be a sign. ❤️

Hello Silkie Lovers :frow

I just found this thread! Here's a few of my beautiful babies! I've definitely been bitten by the silkie bug and there's no going back for me🤣 I'll agree with some and say they're not always the brightest light bulb in the box, but I love them anyway❤️View attachment 3915979View attachment 3915980View attachment 3915981View attachment 3915982View attachment 3915983View attachment 3915984View attachment 3915985View attachment 3915986

Chocolate partridges are very pretty😍
I did too, I actually had to ask byc what my little ones color was! I thought she could be a silver partridge but I kept telling myself I couldn't be that lucky😂
I'm also very new to silkie colors so it's all a learning experience!

Gorgeous silkies! :love
Thank you😊 I've had a very hard time finding quality silkies near me. I traveled a few hours to pick up a dozen hatching eggs and my 2 splash and 1 blue silkie as 4 week olds. Sadly only 3 eggs hatched 1 white, 1 blue silver partridge, and 1 splash that sadly was killed by a skunk😢
My 2 older splashes ended up both being cockerels😩 though I do love them both❤️
My sweet little blue is a pullet💙
I'm leaning pullet for my blue silver partridge💙
My little white could go either way🤍🤷🏼‍♀️

And my 2 older boys came from what I thought was a quality silkie breeder but Rusty my red partridge has a single comb, I love everything else about him though! And Roo is a white satin sizzle!

Sorry I tend to ramble😐😂

I've ordered hatching eggs from exhibition breeders four or five times this year and if I got 33% I had to be happy. It's been a horrible year. I couldn't even dare to figure out the cost per chick or I'd faint.

I used to get 75% hatch rate on shipped eggs. At least I have several quality silkies between what hatched, so it's all good. One place I go is Indigoegg.us. I've been advised by someone else to buy her birds and skip the eggs. Very pricey to go that route though.

Have to share a couple I'd my olden days again.
Debbie, is the main coloring this?
