Does anyone have a good frontal face shot of a male and a female silkie? I have 3 and they all look the same to me. 2 of them are larger than the one. The largest one has greenish tallens on the tail end. None appear to have combs. Any help is appreciated

Silkies are extreamly hard to sex. Many times it is not until the lay or crow that one knows for sure. A good Silkie will have a very small comb and wattles. On a bearded Silkie it is even harder to see the difference. If yours are 12 weeks it may take a few more weeks to see any subtle differences. Many times the feathers in the crest on a male will appear to get spikes sticking out and longer hackle feathers will be a bit more obvious. Males are usually larger tho that is not always the case due to some just being bigger birds. The stance of the male will change too. He will stand very erect and appear to have a longer neck.
