i have two 20wk silkie pullets and tonite i noticed that one of them is only able to use one wing. the other seems useless, tho not drooping, and she doesnt seem to be in pain, although she isnt thriving as well as the other one. my silkie cockerel was extremely vicious with her today, and even when hed finished his "attack" she lay so still for a long time, i thought she was dead. shes not off her food, and she doesnt seem ill, but am worried she suffering. hubby thinks am totally over reacting, she isnt laying yet, should i seperate her and get her vetinary help or do i do what hubby suggests and let nature do its thing? would appreciate some advice as i am very new to this jools:([

You might re-post this under "emergencies." Everyone is really quick to respond. My vote is for putting her in her own little pen. I have had to quarantine a couple of times. Chickens are such busy butts; I think it help them to spend a day or so on forced rest.

i agree try to post under emergencies and try to seperate her, atleast if she just has a pulled muscle
or something little wrong it will give her time to rest.

thanks guys, am gonna put her into hen hospital for a few days, see how she does. today she seemed more alert, will give her rest and tlc and will keep you all posted. many thanks again joolsxx
