My white hens have those blue little things on the side of there face i'm not sure what there called but my rooster dosn't have them do only the hens have them? Another thing lots of people say silky's are very broody and mine arn't they lay there eggs and don't look at them again. Do they have to be a certain age to be broody?

Those are earlobes.
They will go broody eventually, often relentlessly.
Some go broody as soon as they start laying eggs, others when they're more mature. If they'll go broody, most tend to do so in spring with longer days signaling the time to raise offspring.
