Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
My father frightened a mallard off her nest and she hasn't come back yet , do you think I can get one of my chickens( she's a broody!) to hatch them out?

Yes she can but it is illegal to take wild mallard eggs. How long has she been away? She will most likely return
