Silly question...should I eat the first egg?

Ok, this will probably make you "advance-chickeners" laugh but can I eat the first eggs a pullet lays? I guess I'm going with the "don't eat the first snow of the season" line of thinking.

I don't know why you couldn't unless you've recently medicated. Then again, I'm basically a chicken newbie too. Mine aren't laying yet. When they do though, I'm a sentimental fool

so I plan to blow out the first egg from each girl (eat the egg part) and save the intact cleaned shell with a little bitty notation on the bottom as to who it came from if I know. Hey- good to have at Easter especially since I have Ameraucanas! Good luck hun! Congrats on the egg!

most first eggs dont have a yolk, but we ate ours all the time...
