"She" is certainly very beautifulI also have 2 Easter eggers and a black maran. I got them all at 3 days old. They grew and feathered in very quickly. No one was slower than the rest. Although her lacing is not ideal she's beautiful to me.
I will post a photo when she lays an egg. Lol"She" is certainly very beautiful. But..."she" looks like a he.

...You asked for our opinion, and when people gave them, you kinda denied what we were saying. Why ask for an opinion if you don't want to hear it? I still think that that is a boy...but we'll see. I truly hope that's a girl!I will post a photo when she lays an egg. Lol
I'm remaining hopeful. Thanks for all of the opinions.i raised 4 sexlinks in my first flock but this time I took a leap of faith. I know of a local no kill chicken farm who will take any roosters for a small placement fee IF need be....You asked for our opinion, and when people gave them, you kinda denied what we were saying. Don't give up hope. I'm not. I read that this breed is the hardest to sex. I was thinking it might be fun to post chick photos of some of our full grown chickens which we already know the sex of. And see how many guesses are right and wrong.Drats...that looks just like one of my 6-week old SLWs, right down to the coloring. I thought he might be a cockerel but was hoping I was wrong, as I don't have much experience in the breed. Oh well. That still leaves 7 pullets, so I suppose I can't complain.![]()
