I just thought I'd let you know that I'm still watching him/her.

I'm looking at the shanks (legs) and the wattles and the comb color. I usually can tell sex from that when younger, but can't tell from the saddle and hackle feathers until 12-16 weeks depending on breed. But that's me. Others have their own ways of ascertaining male or female.

One thing is for sure, having more than one chick with the same type of comb really helps make it easier for me. When I have a few chicks with rose combs and can compare/contrast males to the females, it's hard to guess incorrectly. (looking at shanks, wattles, and combs)

I am tempted to change my vote from male to female, but that little bit of wattle in one of the photos looks extra pink/red.

If you end up giving us another update and it's not too much trouble, maybe a straight-on comb shot could be included???
