I have a pair of silver laced Wyandotte's, 8 weeks old. I have been thinking a pullet and a cockerel pretty much all along...am I correct in assuming this based on colour and combs? I know Wyandottes can have more colour to their combs earlier so I could me wrong but the assumed male has had a red comb for weeks and the other still pale. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! 🙂

i think you're right, you have a pair. the one has pretty large waddles

Again when they infuse single combed birds in hatchery wyandotte stock (to increase fertility and why so many wyandottes are popping up with single combs) it increases comb size and makes them develop a comb earlier. I've seen it happen.
