Silver Laced Wyandotte sexing

Pics
What age now? My GLW pullet does not have that much red, or saddle feathers. I'm new to chickens too but I'm less confident thinking yours is a pullet. Could be a boy. Hope someone else weighs in!

This chick is 11 weeks old. My same aged GLW isn't that red either and does not have the same looking waddles, although she's developing hers.

Did you take the pictures right after the bath? I'm wondering if the feathers look pointy because they got wet. The pattern of the feathers says pullet to me.

Just curious, why did you give it an Epson salt bath?

I have been bathing her beause she's been sick and dealing with a fungal issue. Yes, the pics were after a bath, but they stay this way after drying and her preening herself. It's not as noticeable, but the pointed feathers are still there. I've always been concerned about this one as she was the one who stood upright, chest butted and was super slow to feather on the back. Her call when picked up has always been different from my other girls, like a chicken yelling.

She may be a girl, I am just concerned. She is smaller than my GLW pullet though, not bigger. Tomboy? LOL!

Aw poor thing. Hope it starts feeling better.

I think this is going to one of those were you have to wait longer. Wyandottes can be so slow sometimes.

I must have an advanced Wyandotte cockerel then!! for reference here is Milo now at 13 weeks. He crows multiple times every morning now too. Very proud of himself. It's not super loud yet though.

Can you look at these updated pics and tell me what you think? It looks like my bird is developing saddle feathers. A large number of feathers are pointy, but there still isn't much development of the waddles and comb.

The white flecks are from an Epsom salt bath!

It seems that this bird's comb and wattles have reddened significantly since your original picture 3 weeks ago, though comb and wattles haven't grown significantly.... Can't really tell if saddle feather shape is a concern based on these images. Overall pattern does seem to be a bit in line with a cockerel.

Tough call - I'd lean toward cockerel, but I'd give it another couple weeks to be sure.

Any more pics of this guy/gal? Curious.

This bird is 14 weeks old as of yesterday. When I went out this morning to take pics, I see a some major signs that this may be a cockerel (pointy neck feathers, pattern development on wings, upward feather on the tail and several underneath growing straight up. irridescence on the neck/upper back/tail. I do not see as much comb and wattle development though and although there is tons of fuzz, my hens have some (not that many) as well - maybe due to weather change? What do you guys think? He/she also does not have huge legs for a rooster.

Any thoughts with the new pictures?

It looks like a pullet to me. The pattern is very even. A cockerel wouldn't have all that lacing on the back and wings. And they don't get lacing on their tail feathers. Are you sure the neck feathers are pointed? They look round to me. The pattern can sometimes create an optical illusion making them look pointed. Can you pick her up and examine an individual feather? Also, tail feathers can sometimes curl like that during a molt.
