It's what happens all the time when dealing with Hatcheries, you got something else or a mix of some kind, the hatchery figures you don't know the difference, you did but most don't know or care. Good luck and I hope you get it worked out.

I talked to McMurray today. They immediately said they would send replacements. Then they asked a few questions about the markings and ended up saying that they were probably cochins. Said they were kept in the same area and someone probably grabbed the wrong ones.

So, 11 more on the way plus packing material (leghorn roos). Called a friend who wants the cochins and is willing to take the roos too (probably for dinner, but what else do you do with dozens of roos?). I'd have too many in my flock if I kept everything, so glad to have friends nearby who keep chickens.

Also, attempted to feather sex them today. I hope I'm wrong. If I'm right, only 3 out of the 27 chicks are hens.
