silver laced wyandottes--hatchery stock

I've had SLW from Welp and Cackle. The Welp (so Privett, I guess) bird was huge, had nice-enough lacing for me, and gave me 3 or 4 large eggs a week. The Cackle bird is small, has poor lacing, and gives me 5 or 6 small eggs a week. She's not a bantam, they don't sell bantam SLW. So I'm not really sure what the deal is. I'll try to upload some photos later. ETA: Here is the Welp hen: With a Black Jersey Giant, hatchery New Hampshire Red and a California white. I'll keep looking for some images of my Cackle SLW, or I'll take some tomorrow.
Did the egg size ever improve?

We have 2 silver laced wyandottes from Meyer and I wouldn't recommend purchasing those from them. One is large, but with a single comb instead of a rose comb, and her lacing is not very pretty. The other one is a small bird, has a little better lacing, but still not as pretty as stock pictures, and has a comb that is a rose/pea combination.

Our girls are almost a year old. We can't say too much about egg size because we still haven't figured out which eggs are the buff orps and which are the wyandottes. Both of their eggs are smaller than our Easter Eggers.
