Silver-laced wyandottes

I don't believe that anyone answered a question that you had.
You asked what partridge referred to in chickens. Partridge is a varity (color) just like Buff or Barred.
Here is a picture of a Partridge Wyandotte Rooster and Hen.

I have a SLW. She isn't the nicest (she won't peck at you though) but she lays 4-6 eggs a week, is not broody, and is a great chicken all together. She won't guard her eggs or anything.

I love my three gold-laced Dottes, they are friendly, smart and docile. The molt may take about three months altogether in the fall as daylight decreases. The lay nearly every day and one is quite unnecessarily broody. They are sweet and chatty! I would love to have one in every color! Lawn Bling!
